Technical Specs

Description

The milling chamber is the main part of an air jet mill. Inside, angular holes placed at specific intervals within a ring accelerate powder particles in a spiral motion. The particles are efficiently ground by the shearing forces produced by this high-velocity movement. Concurrently, the targeted particle size is effectively separated from the bigger particles that are still being ground by an air current. After that, the larger particles are recycled back into the milling chamber for additional size reduction, and the ultra-fine particles are moved through the system. 

Function

In an air jet mill, particles are accelerated in a spiral movement inside the milling chamber, which contains a number of angular holes placed around the periphery. The high-speed collisions between particles within this chamber result in the desired micronization.
