There are several types of weighing and batching systems used in bulk material handling

WEIGHT GAIN
In a gain-in-weight batching system, the material is fed into a weighing hopper via a volumetric feeder. The feeders keep releasing material until a predetermined weight is reached within the weighing hopper, which activates and instructs the feeder to stop. The weighing hopper measures weight as the material or powder is released.
Such a hopper can receive an infinite number of materials from an infinite number of feeders. You can feed this batch further into any kind of batch procedure. Despite requiring more time for batch preparation, these feeders are a cost-effective choice.

Weight Loss
Several weigh hoppers are used in a loss-in-weight batching system to feed various ingredients.
